Ages 2 – 5

Early Years

Nursery to Reception

Following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), our youngest learners build essential confidence and curiosity through purposeful, play-based experiences.

  • Three Prime Areas — Communication & Language, Physical Development, Personal/Social/Emotional
  • Four Specific Areas — Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World, Expressive Arts & Design
  • Exclusive shaded outdoor area, swimming, PE, music and library lessons
  • Thematic, half-termly approach that brings the seven EYFS areas to life

Ages 5 – 7 · Years 1–2

Key Stage 1

Foundational Excellence

Cementing foundational excellence while sparking a genuine love for inquiry — systematic phonics, deep number sense and a broad creative curriculum.

  • Mastering core literacy and numeracy through systematic phonics
  • Music, PE and the Humanities introduced from Year 1
  • Phonics assessment in Year 1; NGRT reading age tests from Year 2
  • Structured yet highly engaging classroom culture

Ages 7 – 11 · Years 3–6

Key Stage 2

Independence & Character

Greater independence, responsibility and moral character, with rigorous English, Mathematics and Science alongside Drama, Music, Art and Sport.

  • English, Mathematics, Science, Computing, Art & Design, PCSHE, RE, Design & Technology, Geography, History
  • Languages: Arabic, French and Kiswahili
  • Performing Arts (Music & Drama) and PE including Swimming
  • GL CAT4 tests in Year 3 and 5 plus GL progress tests in English, Maths and Science

Ages 11 – 14 · Years 7–9

Key Stage 3

Conceptual Bridge

Higher-order conceptual thinking that bridges foundational knowledge and the rigour of Cambridge IGCSE — internationalised National Curriculum of England, adapted for Uganda.

  • Internationalised version of the National Curriculum of England
  • Structured home learning programme building on Year 1 foundations
  • Problem-solving, analysis and the discovery of personal strengths
  • Term 2 of Year 9: guided IGCSE option selection and careers guidance

Ages 15 – 16 · Years 10–11

Key Stage 4 · IGCSE

Cambridge IGCSE

The globally recognised Cambridge IGCSE programme — compulsory English Language, Mathematics and at least one Science, plus five elective subjects.

  • Cambridge International Examinations — IGCSE
  • Compulsory: English Language, English Literature, Mathematics, Science
  • Five elective subjects chosen with the student's strengths and ambitions
  • Stretch IGCSEs available for high-attaining students

Ages 16 – 18 · Years 12–13

Sixth Form · A-Level

Cambridge International AS & A Level

A rigorous academic bridge to the world's leading universities. Year 12: four AS subjects. Year 13: three A2 subjects plus the remaining AS.

  • Subjects offered: Accounting, Art & Design, Biology, Business Studies, Chemistry, Computer Science, Economics, English Literature, Geography, Global Perspectives, History, Mathematics, Physics, PE
  • Each subject — 5 hours per week in six 40-minute periods
  • One double PE lesson per week: swimming, football, basketball, badminton, tennis
  • Dedicated Sixth Form tutor for pastoral, university and personal-statement support
